A retired Rear Admiral, Ann Phillips served in every warfare group of the Surface Navy: Destroyers, Carriers, Amphibious and Replenishment Ships. She commissioned and commanded USS MUSTIN (DDG 89), and commanded Destroyer Squadron TWO EIGHT, and Expeditionary Strike Group TWO.
Ashore she was a Senior Fellow on the Chief of Naval Operations’ Strategic Studies Group XXVIII, and managed requirements and resources for the Surface Navy as Director of Surface Warfare Division, (N86). She served overseas in Guam and Lisbon, Portugal, and operated extensively with NATO and Partnership for Peace nations.
At present, she has just started a management consulting business, A. C. Phillips, LLC, and serves on several non-profit boards and foundations, including Broward Navy Days Senior Advisory Board, the Hampton Roads Naval Historical Foundation Board, and the Norfolk Police Foundation Board. She also chairs the Infrastructure Working Group for the Hampton Roads Preparedness and Resilience Sea Level Rise Pilot Planning Project, convened by Old Dominion University. She and her husband reside in Norfolk, VA and are pursuing executive MBA’s at the Mason School of Business, College of William and Mary.
